There's a first time for everything and I love reading all the make up posts you guys do so I thought i'd attempt one!
This is my 'everyday face', the make up I usually wear for a day at Uni or shopping or if I'm just leaving the house as it makes me feel the most comfortable and confident in my skin, without me feeling like I'm caked in make up!
All of the above items are my beauty essentials at the moment! The Clinique 'Even Better' foundation has been my lifesaver for the past year now (I think my time with it is coming to an end due to my skin starting to flare up again so I've decided to give their Anti-Blemish version a try!) and I really couldn't ask for more from a day-to-day foundation. It gives me perfect coverage and their colour range matched my skin perfectly (001) whilst having brilliant staying power without any kind of primer, something I find crucial in my make up routine as I rarely have time to redo my make up throughout the day. Then a dusting of Mac Select Sheer/Pressed powder on my t-zone whilst using a bit of the Bronzing Powder on my cheek bones.
Unfortunately whilst I do have long lashes they do need curling so currently I'm using the Cosmopolitan Eyelash Curler as I think I picked it up on offer but it'll need replacing soon. The mascara was thanks to my lovely mother who picked up a spare in a Boots 3 for 2 offer and works fine for me during the day, although I have to say that it focuses more on lengthening the lashes rather than adding volume to them. The eyeshadow palette and eyebrow pencil are both MUA because I wanted to try them both out before deciding whether to invest in a more expensive palette or pencil. But, I've decided to stay with the eyebrow pencil as it's the closest one I've found to my natural brow colour and it's only £1!! However, I think I should invest into some more expensive eyeshadow as the coverage of these are quite weak and don't last long without using a primer, so which palette do you recommend to invest?
My choice of brushes was somewhat predictable! I use a Clinique foundation brush to apply my foundation then used the Real Techniques Buffing Brush to apply my powder as I find this gives me a right amount of coverage. Finally I finished with the Contour Brush to apply the bronzer to my cheek bones as I am in the process of looking for the best bronzer brushes, again, any recommendations?
I hope you guys enjoy reading this as much as I enjoy reading yours! :)
